On February 21st, Starwood Asia Pacific Hotels & Resorts scored a definitive win, trumping12 HR heavyweights to bag the Best Engagement Strategies title in the prestigious HRM Awards, also known as the Oscars’ of the Singapore HR Industry.

The HRM Awards has been recognizing and rewarding great HR practices since 2004. By participating in this iconic industry event, we are benchmarking ourselves against many multinational companies whose people practices are amongst the best in the region, if not globally.

Through our work with STARWOOD CARES, we emerged as Winner for Best Engagement Strategies Award; putting us ahead of many MNCs who competed, such as Unilever Asia, Hewlett Packard, Singtel, UBS AG and CapitalMalls Asia. We also emerged as one of the finalists for the Best Leadership Development category through STARWOOD CAREERS.

Winning the Best Engagement Strategies Award is a great recognition of our unceasing effort to nurture a shared culture that embraces Care for Associates, Guests, Business & Community.

For our associates, they can take pride that they work in an organization that works hard at creating a good work experience; and one where our associates are empowered to meaningfully engage with one another, our guests, our business and our community, thus creating meaningful and unparalleled experiences for all.

Associates can look forward to even better personal and organizational outcomes in the new year as they wholeheartedly embrace the Next Generation of Starwood Cares, Starwood Careers and Service Culture. We congratulate all Asia Pacific properties, management and associates for once again for making Starwood Asia Pacific award-worthy!
