For his visionary leadership, Starwood Asia Pacific President Mr. Stephen Ho was presented with the 2014 CNBC Travel Business Leader of the Year Award during the TravelRave award ceremony organized by the Singapore Tourism Board.

This great honor recognizes how, under Mr Ho’s leadership, Starwood's expansion in Asia Pacific outpaced the industry with new hotel openings over the last three years.

Starwood Hotels Clinches Four Service Gold Awards in Industry Awards Ceremony

In the recent Service Gold Award jointly organized by the Singapore Hotel Association and Singapore Kindness Movement, four Starwood associates in Singapore received the highly-coveted Service Gold Award. Wedding Events Manager Christine Wang and Spa Therapist Ramesh Kumar (William) from The St. Regis Singapore, and Duty Manager Dinesh Varatharajoo and Executive Club Agent Sara Han from The Westin Singapore were among 96 service personnel in Singapore’s hotel industry who received the coveted Service Gold Award.

Ambassador of the Year 2014 - Winners All!

In late November, General Manager Mark O’Sullivan announced winners of the Ambassador of the Year 2014 to an eagerly awaiting crowd.

This year’s Award is markedly different from the 2013 award ceremony for the hotel had taken special effort to honor each and every nominee and winner, an idea that came from Assistant TDC Manager Benz. To make nominees and winners feel equally important, Benz interviewed each and every one of the 27 nominees and asked them how they felt as a nominee of the Ambassador of the Year.

Embracing “LIVE WELL” Through Swim Meet

The Westin brand encourages guests to “LIVE Well”. As associates are the core of Westin, the hotel also encourages them to embrace “LIVE WELL”. In Zhoushan, the locals particularly take to the water and swimming is a hugely popular activity. Leveraging this enthusiasm, the hotel recently held a swimming competition for its associates.

The Westin Tokyo Celebrates 20 Glorious Years

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Westin Tokyo, the hotel held a special charity event for our guests and the community on October 14.

At the ceremony, a 20-meter-long chocolate anniversary cake was placed in the main lobby. This special cake, prepared by the hotel's executive pastry chef Kazuo Suzuki and his pastry team symbolized the hotels' 20 illustrious years in Tokyo.
